FULL-Time Maintenance Technician for busy Hotel
About The Position
Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, experienced, and hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join our team for a full-time evening position. This role is responsible for ensuring all maintenance functions, including preventative maintenance, are completed in a timely and safety-compliant manner. The position involves overseeing property grounds, public areas, and guest rooms, conducting preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns, performing painting, electrical work, and HVAC maintenance, responding to guest complaints, fulfilling work orders, and completing daily rounds to identify and report problems. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years in a hotel maintenance position
- General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry
- Basic math skills
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
- Excellent time management skills
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of three (2) years in a hotel maintenance position preferred
- Preferred but not necessary, one (1) year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry
Responsibilities
- Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms
- Conducts preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations
- Paints, replaces electrical accessories, maintains HVAC
- Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs
- Responds to maintenance orders in a timely manner
- Fulfills work orders in a timely manner
- Completes daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems
- Perform various other duties as assigned
