About The Position
The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for the upkeep of the hotel property and assisting the Chief Engineer. This role involves performing basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing, electrical work, pool operations, preventative maintenance, and indoor and outdoor grounds upkeep. The position requires maintaining all fixtures and equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule and recording such maintenance in log books. Additionally, the role involves maintaining and servicing pool and spa areas, including testing and recording as per state and local regulations, and cleaning internal areas of buildings, including sweeping, mopping, and garbage removal. Maintaining the cleanliness of public and storage areas, as well as the parking lot, is also a key responsibility.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of mechanic experience in a hotel or a related field.
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance skills.
- Ability to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry, and pull up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to reach overhead, climb, crouch, and twist.
- Valid driver's license.
