Responsible to assist with the operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties/facilities. This role involves assisting with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, grounds equipment, and HVAC. The technician will also clean, lubricate, and service various devices, assist with installation and modification of building equipment, and replace/repair building finishes. A key part of the role is to troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend upgrades for maintenance operations and identify savings opportunities. The position requires competent knowledge of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance, and the ability to respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests. The technician will inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for safety and maintenance needs, and maintain and operate fire and life safety systems. Carpentry and snow removal may also be required. The role demands compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and directives, and the practice of safe work habits. Ability to use technology such as smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, and building automation systems is essential. The technician must complete all required C&W Safety Training annually and comply with the C&W Uniform Dress Code.
