About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for providing preventative maintenance, repair, installation, testing, and calibration of production equipment throughout the company. This role involves troubleshooting equipment problems in mechanical and electrical areas down to the individual component level, performing routine periodic testing to ensure key components are functioning properly, and collaborating with engineers and production personnel to modify and improve equipment performance. The position also supports ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Quality Systems, maintains records for equipment repair and preventive maintenance, and performs minor facility repairs including plumbing and electrical work. Requirements

  • Technical AA degree in general engineering or equivalent industrial experience.
  • 5+ years applicable experience in manufacturing setting in relation to repair and maintenance aspects of production and testing equipment.
  • Experience using power tools, lifting, measurement/diagnostic tools.
  • Experience in precision measurement methods.
  • Understanding of technical drawing and basic engineering principals to repair and maintain production equipment and lead others to provide solutions.
  • Hands on and very direct approach to problems and needs of production demand.
  • Proficient computer skills, experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures closely while offering suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills.
  • Work effectively with other members of II-VI A&D.
  • Experience with mechanical repairs, electrical repairs, pneumatics, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with pumping systems and valves.

Responsibilities

  • Provide preventative maintenance, repair, installation, testing, and calibration of production equipment throughout company.
