About The Position

To repair and maintain the physical structure of the resort and provide technical and administrative support to the Maintenance Dept. This role involves performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities using hand tools. It also includes preventative maintenance for guest rooms, ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guest rooms, meeting rooms, the swimming pool, and hot tub. The technician will also handle plumbing repairs, laundry equipment repairs, and preventative maintenance on exhaust fans and supplies, while monitoring energy conservation and replacing air conditioner filters. Additionally, the role requires repairing vacuum cleaners and other small equipment, responding to alarms, and providing excellent guest service.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent education required.
• English fluency required.
• Must have three to five years of experience in general building trades, with technical building maintenance (commercial) background preferred.
• Ability to provide and maintain a valid driver's license as the position may require the operation of motorized and electric vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms, including vinyl repair, touch-up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, and tile repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guest rooms, meeting rooms, the swimming pool, and hot tub.
• Perform plumbing repair and laundry equipment repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply, and monitor energy conservation.
• Replace air conditioner filters.
• Repair vacuum cleaners and any other small equipment upon request.
• Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause, determine emergency status, and report to the Front Desk with findings.
• Understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
• Always maintain the cleanliness of work areas.
• Practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others.
• Perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
• Use the lockout/tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
• Notify management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Assist with any guest inquiry.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete safety training and certifications.
• Perform any other duties as requested by direct and indirect supervisors.
