About The Position

We’re looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to help keep our residential facilities safe, functional, and well-maintained. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and taking pride in keeping properties in top condition, we’d love to hear from you! We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance operations for 10 residential homes throughout the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek areas. This role includes participation in a 1-week on-call rotation every 9 weeks. Company tools and transportation are provided.

Requirements

• Experience in general building maintenance or a related skilled trade
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall repair, and painting
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple homes
• Flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergencies when needed
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a dependable, proactive attitude

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and basic HVAC troubleshooting
• Complete preventative maintenance to ensure homes and equipment remain in excellent working condition
• Respond promptly to urgent and emergency maintenance requests, including occasional after-hours needs
• Travel between multiple residential locations as needed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Communicate effectively with leadership regarding repair needs, supply requests, and project updates
• Utilize basic computer skills for work orders, communication, and documentation
