About The Position

The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a Maintenance Technician position at our Aberdeen, MD facility. This facility uses automated packaging equipment and utilities to manufacture and distribute Clorox Liquid Bleach products. The primary function of this position is to support the production and facility operations in the areas of preventative, corrective and project/special maintenance. An individual assigned to this role is to provide system maintenance support to the production operation.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of prior work experience in similar role or manufacturing industries.
  • Support of WCO principles, programs, and objectives.
  • Flexibility in schedule and work assignments.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial maintenance experience with fillers, cappers, labelers, conveyors, case packers, palletizers, blow molders, and/or other automated packaging equipment.
  • Hands-on work experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rigging equipment, various man-lifts, machine shop equipment (mills, lathes, band saws, presses, etc.).
  • Successful completion of a two (2) year college curriculum in technical areas OR vocational school certificates of completion of training in mechanical/electrical technical areas.
  • Other vendor courses in machining, welding, or air conditioning – refrigeration.
  • Wide exposure to various technical areas during past work experiences.
  • Hands-on work experience with all or some of the following: hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rigging equipment, various man-lifts, machine shop equipment (mills, lathes, band saws, presses, etc.).
  • Other vendor courses in machining, wide exposure to various technical areas during past work experiences.
  • Experience, Education, and/or Skills related to troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, Automation Devices/Sensors, Robotics, Communication Networks, and AC/DC Drives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting and programming of PLC’s.
  • Troubleshoot and configure communications networks and protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and configure AC/DC drives.
  • Troubleshoot and configure processing instrumentation equipment.
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot Mass flow meters, DP transmitters, Level probes, Modulation valves.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance Activities on Production Equipment.
  • Basic Troubleshooting and Repairing of all Production and Process Equipment (Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electrical).
  • Generate work orders and research parts.
  • Perform basic shop fabrication (Welding/Machining and basic hand tools).
  • Rebuild Spare Equipment.
  • Support production lines as needed.
  • Support Special Projects, Capital Projects, New Products, and Improvement Projects.
