About The Position

Responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, relocation and removal of all equipment and facilities mechanical systems based on the highest safety, quality standards and best practices in the steel service industry.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 3-5 years of production maintenance experience
  • Strong working knowledge of machinery, mechanics, plumbing, welding, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Must be able to work safely and rationally with heights (such as with overhead cranes).
  • Current Valid Driver’s License is required.
  • Effectively follow repair manuals, blueprints, diagrams, to make appropriate repairs.
  • Must respond and follow oral and written instructions timely and accurately.
  • Must work in a team environment or unaccompanied.

Nice To Haves

  • Overhead crane repair experience is a plus
  • CAD experience a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical drive components including bearings, bushings, seals, gears, and belt/chain drives.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on facility and production machinery.
  • Install, dismantle, clean, reassemble, and move production machinery.
  • Perform fluid mechanic repairs (hydraulic and pneumatic).
  • Performance and Documentation of Preventative Maintenance on production equipment.
  • Read blueprints and schematics to determine repair procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial electrical principles and controls.
  • Maintain all building mechanicals, utilities and HVAC systems.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
