Requirements

  • Basic mathematical skills with knowledge of metric and standard tools and conversions.
  • Use of calipers and other precision measuring devices.
  • Attention to detail, proactivity and effective follow–through.
  • Industrial Vehicle Operation experience.
  • Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Good troubleshooting abilities.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Applied Math: Level 4, Workplace Documents: Level 4, Graphic Literacy: Level 4, Workplace Observation: Level 2.
  • Complete a mechanical reasoning and aptitude testing in lieu of the educational/experience requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Performs planned maintenance, preventive maintenance, and overhaul duties for emergency breakdowns on operational equipment.
  • Assists in planning and implementation of maintenance initiatives for equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain proper operation of the equipment, machinery or facility structure.
  • Be aware of the Company environment, health & safety policies and comply with the objectives as it relates to the role.
  • Know the potential health & safety risks and environmental impacts of work activities and understand role in mitigating these impacts.
  • Participate in EHS programs as required by assigned site/role (e.g. Intelex to report near misses).
  • Walking, climbing, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working at heights to 35 feet.
  • Complete EHS-required training and follow operational procedures.
