Become a part of the “strength within.” Hexcel is currently seeking Maintenance Technicians for our Decatur, AL, USA location. The hourly pay range for this role is $39.35 - $44.90 and opportunities for pay progression.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment, experience in a continuous chemical processing environment is preferred
- Journeyman (or equivalent) pipe welder, machinist, or millwright with proficiency in general mechanical maintenance
- Eligible candidates must be a: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
Nice To Haves
- Two year or higher technical degree preferred
- May require 12 hour rotating shifts including nights, holidays, and weekends
Responsibilities
- Maintain the integrity of plant installations by following applicable specifications/standards, and using in-kind components, materials, and practices for repair and service work
- Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and service plant buildings, grounds, piping, equipment, mechanical components, and systems while complying with all safety and environmental requirements, industry and plant standards/codes, and best practices
- Perform Preventative Maintenance inspections and service activities
- Communicate and work effectively with Operators, Engineers, other Maintenance Technicians, and Supervision while providing regular work status updates
- Perform work in area of expertise (e.g., pipe fabrication / welding, precision machining, precision machine service and/or rigging); review and/or oversee performance of similar work by outside service providers
