Maintenance Technician- Part Time
About The Position
Pivotal, a leader in affordable housing development, is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician for its Wayne Lofts in Woodlawn, OH. This role is crucial for maintaining the physical integrity of the community, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for residents. The technician will be responsible for routine maintenance, groundskeeping, and responding to resident work orders and emergencies. Pivotal is embracing technology, with work orders managed through a mobile app, and provides a stipend for smartphone use. Requirements
- 1+ years of related experience
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Commitment to regular attendance (may include weekend and OT hours)
- Ability to be “on-call” for emergencies
- Ability to receive, manage, and close work orders by using smartphone applications
Nice To Haves
- HVAC training and certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to all current and future residents
- Complete resident work orders on a timely basis (24 to 48-hour expectation)
- Broad knowledge of general maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
- Assist with court-ordered “set-outs” when necessary
- Perform unit turnover between residents per company standards (3-5 days)
- Maintain grounds and curb appeal
- Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Be responsive to on-call emergencies
