This role is for a full-time Maintenance Technician at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The technician will take on a new challenge and apply mechanical and electrical maintenance expertise in a cutting-edge transit environment, working alongside passionate, motivated, and dedicated teammates committed to keeping the fleet, stations, and infrastructure operating safely and reliably. The role plays a key part in ensuring the availability, performance, and safety of train cars, station systems, and wayside equipment that support daily passenger operations. Day-to-day, the technician will work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams, performing inspections, troubleshooting complex issues, and delivering corrective and preventive maintenance activities. The technician will specifically take care of vehicle systems, station equipment, and wayside infrastructure, while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reliability and reduce downtime.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience or understanding of mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems
• Knowledge of maintenance practices, troubleshooting techniques, and diagnostic equipment
• Familiarity with reading technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, and parts breakdowns
• Ability to accurately document maintenance activities using written or computerized systems
• Valid Class C driver’s license

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience with AC/DC power systems, PLCs, relay logic, or industrial control systems is considered an asset
• Experience with rail, transit, manufacturing, transportation, HVAC, machining, or similar industrial environments is beneficial
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous learning
