Maintenance Technician - Moxy Hotel (Hillsboro Village)

Summit Management CorporationNashville, TN
$20 - $24Onsite

About The Position

Moxy Hotel - Hillsboro Village is looking for an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Technician who knows how to troubleshoot, prioritize, and solve problems in a busy hotel environment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with building systems, takes pride in getting to the root of an issue, and stays focused when multiple maintenance needs arise at once. We are looking for more than someone who can complete basic repairs—we need a technician who is comfortable diagnosing problems, thinking through solutions, and taking ownership of issues through resolution.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on maintenance or facilities experience required.
  • Strong HVAC and mechanical aptitude.
  • Solid plumbing knowledge.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability.
  • Composure under pressure.
  • Ownership and follow-through.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, bend, kneel, reach, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Day and evening shifts available with weekend and holiday flexibility required.

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel, multifamily, commercial building, or similar facilities experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with chilled beam systems, commercial HVAC, hydronic systems, or similar building systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience diagnosing leaks, drainage issues, fixtures, valves, supply lines, and other common commercial plumbing problems is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair issues involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other hotel building systems.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC equipment and components.
  • Identify sources of plumbing and water-related issues, perform repairs within your scope, and assist with coordinating more complex repairs when needed.
  • Prioritize and respond quickly to maintenance situations that affect guest comfort, safety, or hotel operations while remaining calm and solutions-focused.
  • Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance to identify developing problems before they become larger repairs.
  • Handle repairs involving fixtures, lighting, plumbing, doors, hardware, furniture, equipment, and other hotel components.
  • Follow maintenance issues from initial diagnosis through repair, vendor coordination, or final resolution rather than simply applying a temporary fix.
  • Partner with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and hotel leadership to minimize disruptions and keep the property operating smoothly.
  • Follow applicable safety procedures, maintain organized work areas, and ensure tools and supplies are properly maintained and stocked.
