About The Position

Maxus Properties is seeking to hire a full-time Maintenance Technician for Chatham Green Apartments in Arlington, Texas. Maintenance Technicians are essential for the upkeep of communities, handling tasks from plumbing and electrical work to landscaping and repairs. They conduct regular inspections to prevent issues, collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks, and ensure residents have a safe, comfortable environment. Their skills and attention to detail maintain property integrity and value, enhancing resident satisfaction and well-being.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • A current driver’s license is required
  • One year of facility or property maintenance experience is required
  • EPA certification is required
  • Must have experience maintaining heat pumps
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing and commitment to abiding by all Fair Housing regulations is required.
  • Candidates must receive a passing score on the Maxus maintenance exam.

Responsibilities

  • Track and complete service requests on occupied and vacant apartments, office/clubhouse, and amenities.
  • Perform timely repairs, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, lighting, etc.
  • Prepare apartments for tour/following residents move in by conducting lock changes, move-out inspections, trash out, punch out, and scheduling vendors where necessary.
  • Assist with semi-annual property inspections, fire safety, pest control, etc.
  • Assist with controlling and reporting stock and inventory.
  • Safely use and perform periodic maintenance of tools and equipment (hammer, drill, saw, gauges, etc).
  • Complete any additional projects as requested under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
