About The Position

Wakefield Residential is offering an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced full-time Maintenance Technician with great technical and people skills to play a key role at The Lodge Apartment community in Marysville, Washington. The Lodge is a 686-unit multi-family residential community where our Maintenance Technicians play an integral part in resident satisfaction. They are responsible for all preventive, corrective, and deferred maintenance plans.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in a maintenance role is REQUIRED.
Ability to safely use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
Experience with basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair
Ability to function professionally and effectively in a customer service atmosphere
Basic computer skills and strong written/oral communication
Available for emergency on-call duties one weekend per month

Responsibilities

Complete resident service requests such as appliance repair, electrical work, plumbing, and other general maintenance tasks in a timely manner with minimal call-backs
Prepare units for new residents by completing turns in a timely fashion. This includes anything from painting, spackling, and carpet/flooring to appliance repair/installation, pressure washing, swapping out lightbulbs/outlets, etc.
Ensure property and common areas are clean and looking their best
Work with and/or around paints, pool chemicals, and other potentially hazardous materials
Provide professional customer service for our residents at all times
Ensure that all materials, supplies, tools, and equipment are well taken care of through routine maintenance and inspections
