About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing mechanical services to support the needs of production and ensure safe operation of the plant. Experiences and knowledge with maintaining industrial equipment (reactor, blending vessel, dryer, heat exchanger, vacuum pump), packaging equipment (blister, bottle, box, label, pouch, sealer, wrap, box), and/or automated equipment (robotic, HMI, PLC) are desirable. The Industrial Maintenance Technician is also responsible for conducting Preventative Maintenance work, including the review and evaluation of its cost-effectiveness and performance. In addition, the Industrial Maintenance Technician will be working closely with the Engineering to implement continuous improvement initiatives and install new equipment.

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
  • NCCER Boilermaker certification
  • A Valid Driver’s License
  • TWIC Card
  • 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.

Responsibilities

  • Processing and/or packaging plant maintenance
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of production plan maintenance including hydraulics, pneumatics, utilities (chiller, compressed air, hot water, hot oil, and LNC), pumps, reactors, rotary equipment, pressure vessels, etc.
  • Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of mechanical principles.
  • Preventative maintenance and routine maintenance of equipment and facility systems.
  • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations.
  • Confer with management and other personnel to implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
  • Plan and install of machinery and parts in line with design plans and timescales.
  • Performs minor electrical maintenance, including but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures industrial and electrical control equipment and components
