Maintenance Technician - Bentley Place
About The Position
As an Apartment Maintenance Technician at Gaines Investment Trust, you'll play an essential role in maintaining a safe, attractive, and high-quality living environment for our residents. This position is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, takes pride in quality workmanship, and understands that outstanding customer service is just as important as technical skill. You'll work closely with both the maintenance and office teams to ensure residents receive prompt, professional service while helping protect the long-term value of our communities.
Requirements
- Two or more years of multifamily maintenance and make-ready experience
- Valid driver's license (required)
- HVAC Certification or EPA Certification (required)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general maintenance
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the onsite team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to repairs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong work ethic
Responsibilities
- Deliver Outstanding Service: Complete maintenance repairs with quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Respond promptly to resident service requests while providing exceptional customer service.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance issues.
- Protect Our Communities: Perform preventative maintenance to extend the life of building systems and equipment.
- Help maintain excellent curb appeal and community appearance.
- Identify maintenance concerns before they become larger issues.
- Support Team Success: Work collaboratively with maintenance and office staff to provide an outstanding resident experience.
- Assist with apartment turns to ensure homes are move-in ready.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.
- Maintain compliance with company safety standards and industry regulations.
