About The Position

Provide various support to the overall facility maintenance, including support for the production lines, installation, fabrication, troubleshooting, repair, moving, and maintenance of a wide variety of production and related equipment, facilities equipment, buildings, and systems. This role requires a journeyman level of skill in one or more craft areas such as mechanical, electrical, welding, pipe fitting, and machining.

Requirements

  • Electrical Experience is Required
  • Strong demonstrable knowledge of electronics, electrical, HVAC, hydraulics, machining mechanical theory, and pneumatics.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work requirements.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time without sitting.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, lift, or crawl.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have a valid Forklift Operator's license or pass required training.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years experience in general production maintenance, including craft skills (i.e., mechanical, electrical, welding, fabrication, and machining) to install, fabricate, troubleshoot, repair, move, and maintain a wide variety of production and related equipment, facilities equipment, buildings, and systems at the journeyman level.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience supporting an industrial fluid application facility is preferable.
  • Certification in electronics, electrical, HVAC, machining, and/or mechanical theory.

Responsibilities

  • Install, fabricate, troubleshoot, repair, move, and maintain a wide variety of production and related equipment, facilities equipment, buildings, and systems at a journeyman level.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment and systems including motors, pumps, piping systems, conveyor systems, furnaces, exhaust systems, chillers, boilers, chemical tanks, PLCs, production machinery, and instrumentation equipment.
  • Install new machinery and equipment, and move existing machinery and equipment for layout changes.
  • Perform rigging, moving, erecting, aligning, and making necessary hook-ups for equipment installation.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities, including critical tasks requiring extensive dismantling, re-assembly, and critical adjustment, lubrication, and/or calibration.
  • Maintain and account for assigned tools and equipment.
  • Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts in a production environment.
