Maintenance Technician - 1st shift, 6:00am - 2:00pm, $26.67 hourly

About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be part of our team located in Northlake, TX. You’ll get to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment. You will perform service and repair work as designated in a profitable and proper manner, record productive time versus travel time, and perform preventive maintenance work according to schedule. You will also maintain accurately all work records and parts used at each job in accordance with established procedure, keep manuals and all details up to date as changes are advised, and be responsible for facility improvement including safety projects. You will troubleshoot problems by developing a plan of action, estimating labor time, and job materials. You will safely operate a walkie rider and floor scrubber; be certified on Reach and Conventional forklift for material movement. You will also complete assigned project tasks, maintain staging lane, perform 5S duties to keep work areas and equipment organized. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 2 years prior experience in the Electrical, Mechanical field a plus
  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and plumbing
  • General knowledge of Distribution Center layout and equipment
  • Proven ability to work safely with above average accuracy
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be able to work any shift including weekends and Holidays as needed.
  • Physical ability to regularly stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, and lift/move 10 lbs., regularly and up to 50 lbs., occasionally.
  • Team lift 50 – 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Resilience to work in environments occasionally exposed to extreme temperatures.
