Maintenance Technician
About The Position
The Maintenance Technician Position will be responsible for performing advanced mechanical and entry-level electrical troubleshooting on production and facility equipment. This technician independently performs repairs, executes PMs, and supports continuous improvement projects. Requirements
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food or manufacturing preferred).
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, including multimeter use and reading electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with PLC inputs/outputs and basic control systems.
- Knowledge of welding, fabrication, or machining.
- Strong understanding of GMPs and sanitation requirements.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- High School Diploma.
Nice To Haves
- Technical Trade Degree/Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical systems, including gearboxes, bearings, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting on motors, sensors, photo eyes, and control circuits (up to 480V).
- Conduct intermediate-level PMs and Predictive Maintenance activities.
- Complete assigned Standardized Work tasks.
- Assist with installation, startup, and modification of production equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and spare parts usage in CMMS.
- Support root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective actions.
- Train and mentor Maintenance Technician I employees.
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety, LOTO, and plant safety programs.
