About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician at James Crawford Apartments, a 96-unit senior/elderly affordable housing community, you will be responsible for ensuring the buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and inviting. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs. You will be part of a dedicated team focused on providing exceptional service to residents and have opportunities for skill development and career advancement. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
  • Must be able to participate in the emergency on-call rotation as needed.
  • Dedicated to exceeding expectations by providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met.
  • Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
  • Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
  • Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
  • Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance.
  • Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report any shortages.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance activities in partnership with the supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
