About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join a property management team. This role requires a versatile maintenance professional with strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent customer service skills, and experience in multiple building trades. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining safe, clean, and well-functioning housing communities. The Maintenance Technician will interact regularly with residents and staff and must demonstrate professionalism, patience, and effective communication while performing maintenance and repair tasks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance technician experience or related trade experience.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must obtain a valid Nevada Driver's License within 30 days of hire.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call assignments.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize and complete daily maintenance tasks and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, fans, and breaker panels.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing systems, including faucets, toilets, water heaters, drains, and fixtures.
- Perform repairs to drywall, flooring, cabinetry, doors, windows, siding, railings, gutters, and other building components.
- Troubleshoot and repair household appliances including refrigerators, stoves, and garbage disposals.
- Service and maintain HVAC systems, furnaces, heaters, refrigeration controls, and related equipment.
- Maintain irrigation systems and assist with landscape upkeep and vendor coordination.
- Identify and address safety hazards throughout the property.
- Complete apartment turnovers efficiently and to company standards.
- Coordinate with vendors for major repairs and replacement projects.
- Assist with operational budgets and capital improvement planning.
