About The Position

Cottonwood Residential is looking for an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician to join their team in Salt Lake City, based at Richmond Apartments in Millcreek, UT. The company has redefined the customer experience with Self-Guided Tours and seeks an innovative, hard-working individual to continue improving the customer experience at their communities.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate with customers, process Company paperwork, and interpret safety and operating manuals and procedures.
Must be able to move, carry, reposition, or lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and ability to navigate elevation changes while maintaining balance.
Frequent need to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, push/pull, and ability to navigate difficult terrain and access small areas.
Ability to work standard community hours, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to work as an on-call technician and provide after-hours emergency service with the support of the Service Manager while following Company standards.
EPA certification Type II or Universal is required.
Considerable experience troubleshooting HVAC.
Valid Driver's License is required.

Nice To Haves

CPO certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs that may include, but are not limited to, plumbing, electrical work, and general carpentry work related to household, building, and property grounds repairs.
Troubleshoot HVAC systems.
Provide after-hours emergency service as an on-call technician with support from the Service Manager.
