About The Position

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and longevity of our production equipment. This role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of machinery and facility systems to maintain a high level of production efficiency and safety.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in mechanical and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Familiarity with industrial machinery and tools.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Capability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on bagging lines, Conveyors, and other grain mill equipment
  • Schedule and execute preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Document maintenance activities and update maintenance logs.
  • Quickly diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on production equipment.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve equipment malfunctions and downtime.
  • Ensure timely completion of repair tasks to minimize production interruptions.
  • Assess and recommend improvements to equipment performance and reliability.
  • Implement modifications and upgrades to enhance production efficiency and quality.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct safety inspections and report any hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Perform general facility maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC system maintenance.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Provide detailed reports on maintenance issues and actions taken to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Work closely with production staff to understand equipment performance and address any issues.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities.
