About The Position

This position is responsible for the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and safe operation of production and facility equipment, including boiler and utility systems. This position supports equipment reliability, plant safety, and operational efficiency within a fast-paced industrial environment. The role is hands-on and works closely with operations, safety, and outside vendors to ensure equipment uptime, regulatory compliance, and a clean, well-maintained facility.

Requirements

  • Valid Texas Boiler Operator or Boiler License (as applicable)
  • 3-7 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or commercial facility
  • Demonstrated experience with: Boiler operations and steam systems, Electrical systems including PLCs and 480V equipment, Mechanical systems, conveyors, motors, and pumps, Plumbing, steam, and water treatment systems
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance and maintaining accurate maintenance records
  • Knowledge of hazardous chemicals and safe handling procedures
  • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, rotating shifts, and on-call schedules as needed
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer literacy (CMMS/PM system, email, and documentation)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Complete all necessary documentation as described under company guidelines
  • Must comply with all company safety rules and policies

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
  • Operate, monitor, inspect, and maintain boiler systems in compliance with Texas boiler regulations and company safety standards
  • Ensure boiler certifications, inspections, and maintenance schedules are current and properly documented
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems
  • Maintain and repair industrial equipment including conveyors, motors, pumps, valves, and plumbing systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems including PLCs, 480V equipment, and control panels
  • Utilize company-provided Preventive Maintenance (PM) software to document work orders, inspections, and repairs
  • Inspect, operate, and maintain steam, heating, cooling, and water treatment systems throughout the facility
  • Support facility cleanliness, organization, and general building maintenance to protect company assets
  • Follow and enforce all safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, PPE requirements, and exposure control procedures
  • Assist with coordination of chemical inventory and proper titration in partnership with chemical vendors (e.g., Ecolab)
  • Communicate equipment issues, parts needs, and repair recommendations to Maintenance Leadership
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company requirements
  • Participate in scheduled shutdowns, emergency repairs, and on-call coverage as required
  • Complete all required maintenance documentation in accordance with company guidelines
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
