Requirements

  • Two or more years of work experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or related experience in an industrial environment required
  • Experience with interpretation of technical drawings and information; computerized maintenance management systems required.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge, skills and abilities required
  • Basic industrial electrical knowledge, skills and abilities required
  • Familiar with e-mail, basic Windows based software, and computerized maintenance management system
  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Advanced mechanical skills and abilities preferred
  • Advanced electrical and control system knowledge preferred
  • associate or bachelor's degree in a related industrial maintenance field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Complete all maintenance activities assigned as scheduled.
  • Respond to maintenance requests for limping / down equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to resolve equipment failures.
  • Use the computer maintenance management system (CMMS) to checkout spares from the storeroom, record job details, enter time, and close out work orders.
  • Fabricate industrial parts as necessary using various tools and machinery.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area / shop space.
  • Attend and participate in required training.
  • Train others in areas of proficiency or expertise.
  • Assist root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations to solve problems and make improvements in our processes and procedures.
  • Support the plant’s continuous improvement program
  • Operate powered mobile equipment as required.
  • Understand and follow all organizational policies, procedures, and rules, ensuring that all laws are obeyed, and equal employment, safety and environmental protection are practiced.
  • Must be able to work rotating 12-hour shifts. May involve off-shift call-in coverage when necessary.
  • Consistently demonstrate prompt, regular, and reliable attendance.
  • Communicate development and career goals to Maintenance Lead and take ownership of personal development plan.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
