About The Position

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team on the 3rd shift. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment. Scot Forge is an employee-owned company specializing in custom open die and rolled ring forgings for demanding global applications. The hiring process includes a hair follicle drug screen, a lift test up to 65 lbs, and a background check.

Requirements

  • 3 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Must be authorized to work in U.S. without sponsorship
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at elevations up to 60 feet
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and schematics.

Nice To Haves

  • Completed craft apprenticeship or Associates
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by following company policies and safety programs, while promoting safe work practices.
  • Repair equipment involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic trouble shooting.
  • Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and facility equipment.
  • Quickly respond to emergency and unscheduled repair requests & efficiently perform scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment operation.
  • Execute welding, fabrication, and torch operations to efficiently repair and maintain production equipment.
  • Operate and fine-tune furnaces and control systems to optimize performance and maintain safe operating conditions.
  • Conduct safety checks on cranes, forklifts, and chains, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Follow all guidelines for the safe disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders to complete maintenance tasks effectively.
