As a member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the general care and maintenance of assigned areas and equipment. Your day-to-day interactions will vary and no two days are alike. Additional responsibilities for the maintenance team will include semi-skilled maintenance work requiring performance of tasks associated with the electrical, plumbing, building, and mechanical trades.

Requirements

  • General maintenance experience (required)
  • Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems
  • Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity
  • Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with other team members and clients in a pleasant and professional manner
  • Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
  • Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building
  • Ability to work in tight and/or elevated locations (lifts, rooftops, ladders)
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Performing routine maintenance around the buildings, for example, window, door, or wall repair
  • Use your technical know-how and mechanical aptitude to diagnose and troubleshoot problems and replace or repair parts
  • Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
  • Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
  • Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
  • Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
  • Painting interior and exterior walls
  • Ability to use the appropriate tools to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, or replace
  • Assist groundskeeping team as needed
  • Proactively perform regular preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure they are up to standards
  • Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing maintenance-related information and trends to drive efficiencies, streamline processes, and support business decisions
