About The Position

The Collier Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team in the Tampa region. This is an on-site, full-time role where the technician will support the Maintenance Team in ensuring that the physical aspects of the property meet The Collier Company’s established standards. The Maintenance Technician is an expert at troubleshooting, diagnosing problems, and making solutions with a customer service attitude. The role requires a commitment to emergency on-call duties and potential overtime during peak seasons.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience as a maintenance technician preferred.
Strong work ethic and an eager-to-learn attitude.
Apartment housing experience strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of appliances, plumbing & HVAC.
Organized, efficient, and detail-oriented to complete work orders.
Able to work a flexible schedule, which may include nights/weekends and emergency-on-call rotation.
Proven track record of excellent customer service.
Must have basic tools.
Must be able to pass a basic maintenance test.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid instate driver’s license.
Full-time position that consists of emergency on-call commitment.
Overtime commitment in the Summer/Fall turn season.
Background checks are an employment requirement.
Completion of candidate assessment is required.

Universal EPA certification is a plus!

Responsibilities

Support the Maintenance Team in ensuring that the physical aspects of the property meet The Collier Company’s established standards.
Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, and make solutions with a customer service attitude.
Perform repairs in areas such as HVAC (if certified), electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural, and appliance.
