Requirements

  • Requires the ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math and reading skills to count stock and check supply order sheets.
  • Learn general maintenance of bakery equipment.
  • Requires constant bending, stretching, and good eye/hand coordination.
  • Strong shoulders and back necessary.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Must frequently sit, walk, and stand; be able to use hands to handle, grasp, and twist objects, tools, or controls, and use both feet for repetitive movements as in operating foot controls.
  • Must frequently walk, talk, crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, and reach with the hands and arms.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
  • Employees must be able to work weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving stock from suppliers and putting the stock away in storage areas, rotating storage, and supply areas to maintain order.
  • General maintenance and janitorial duties through entire facility.
  • Deliver and pick up product from stores when needed.
  • Maintenance of facilities for an assigned facility and/or company retail stores; follow defined procedures and processes relating to repairs and/or replacements of equipment and fixtures.
  • Drive bakery van and make deliveries to stores or other locations as required.
  • Maintain water conditioner.
  • Clean drains in bakery.
  • Change bread slicer blades.
  • Varies according to production needs, occasionally may be required to work in production areas or in pan room.
  • Perform basic truck maintenance on vehicles.
