About The Position

The Faywell is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to help keep the community beautiful, well-maintained, and operating smoothly. The technician works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and performs repairs, apartment turns, inspections, and preventative maintenance. The role also includes responding to service requests through a paperless system, maintaining records and inventory, supporting grounds care, and collaborating with vendors as needed. Weekend availability and participation in an on-call rotation are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of residential property maintenance experience or experience in a related field.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to read blueprints and manuals.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, and to frequently walk, stand, climb, crouch, kneel, and reach.
• Basic computer skills for logging and tracking work orders.
• Final candidates must pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

• HVAC certification, CPO license, and/or CAMT designation.

Responsibilities

• Perform general appliance, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Complete apartment turns and make-readies.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Promptly respond to service requests using the paperless system.
• Maintain maintenance records and manage inventory.
• Perform general carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with vendors as needed.
• Handle grounds care and assist with snow removal when necessary.
• Participate in weekend availability and an on-call rotation.
