About The Position

Village Oaks is a 280-unit community located in Austin, TX, offering residents amenities such as a swimming pool, fitness center, and canyon views. Northland is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to handle maintenance requests and work orders, including HVAC, electrical, pool maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping. This role is also responsible for timely apartment turnovers for scheduled move-ins, ensuring safety and efficiency. The maintenance team is expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service with residents, vendors, and guests. Maintenance team members are required to handle after-hours emergency calls and be on-call as needed, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

Previous experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and vendors.
Must possess own hand tools.
Must be able to work nights, weekend, and holiday shifts as part of the on-call responsibility.
Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time and climb, bend, and squat.
Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry weights up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
May be required to operate a golf cart on the property.

Responsibilities

Complete maintenance service requests and work orders including, but not limited to, HVAC, electrical, pool maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping items.
Complete apartment turnovers for scheduled move-ins in a timely manner while working safely and efficiently.
Maintain the highest level of professionalism and customer service when working with residents, vendors, and guests.
Handle after-hours emergency calls.
Be on-call, as needed, including nights and weekends.
Assist other properties as needed.
Attend training classes.
