About The Position

This role involves assisting and performing tasks related to preventative maintenance, equipment inspection, cleaning, and repair. The technician will also be responsible for training operators, managing spare parts, and ensuring maintenance activities are completed within budget and with minimal production downtime. The position requires learning and operating various equipment safely and productively, adhering to company rules and safe work practices, and maintaining a clean work area.

Responsibilities

Assist and/or perform all tasks required as detailed in the Preventative Maintenance Plan.
Visually inspect equipment parts for damage and proper cleaning.
Clean, lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of the machinery.
Assist other maintenance personnel with dismantling of defective machines and equipment and assist with installation of new or repaired parts.
Perform maintenance and repair activities within set budgets for each area.
Monitor operator conformance to established operating conditions.
Provide encapsulation equipment training to new and current machine operators.
Schedule and ensure all preventative maintenance requirements are completed fully as detailed in the Preventative Maintenance Plan.
Assist in maintaining the appropriate levels of spare parts in stock to minimize downtime.
Work with Production Planning to schedule all preventative maintenance work while minimizing downtime.
Prioritize workload and perform repairs in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
Learn, operate, and maintain all equipment (encapsulation, tablet process, stick pack, bottling line, etc.) in a safe and productive manner.
Adhere to company rules and safe work practices throughout each department.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Other duties as assigned.
