About The Position

Weldco-Beales Manufacturing designs and manufactures specialized heavy equipment attachments for the construction, forestry, mining, scrap recycling, road maintenance and resource industries throughout Canada, the USA and internationally. Weldco prides itself on providing a great employee experience where safety is a way of life. Weldco-Beales is currently recruiting a Maintenance Technician for the Langley manufacturing team. This position will report to the General Foreman.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in Maintenance work
  • High school diploma
  • Mechanically inclined
  • General knowledge of basic shop tools and equipment
  • Crane & Rigging experience or certification
  • Forklift Certification
  • Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
  • Time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent safety record

Responsibilities

  • Performs day-to-day repairs and processes
  • Follows and completes preventative maintenance schedule
  • Collaborates to identify preventative measures to reduce improper use or abuse of machines and equipment
  • Resolves problems and recommends effective, practical repair and/or work measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Establishes methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments
  • Ensures necessary tools are available to employees to complete assigned projects
  • Uses all in house computer systems including maintenance logs and the Microsoft Office suite products
  • Operate Fork Lifts, jib and overhead cranes
  • Perform other duties as required
