About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will conduct general and preventative maintenance and repairs on facility and facility equipment. This role involves performing routine and preventative maintenance on machines and equipment, inspecting buildings and systems, and rebuilding/replacing pumps. The technician will also inspect overhead cranes, repair faulty equipment and structures, and address safety hazards. Planning and scheduling repairs, securing quotations, and ordering replacement parts are also key responsibilities. Maintaining a safe and clean facility, operating machinery safely, and adhering to 6S standards are essential. The role requires basic computer skills, mechanical inclination, organizational skills, and good communication abilities. The technician must be able to function in a fast-paced environment, work well in a team, follow instructions, solve problems efficiently, and be willing to be trained and have performance measured daily.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) concepts.
  • Basic computer skills.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 or more years of previous experience in industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine and preventative maintenance on facility machines and equipment.
  • Inspects buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
  • Rebuilds and replaces centrifugal and air diaphragm pumps.
  • Performs inspections on overhead cranes and hoist.
  • Repairs faulty equipment and damaged structures.
  • Fixes potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
  • Plans and schedules repairs.
  • Secures quotations.
  • Orders replacement parts and electrical components.
  • Maintains a safe and clean facility.
  • Operates machinery in a safe manner.
  • Maintains 6S (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) standards in all work stations.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
