About The Position

Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary. Implement preventative maintenance measures. Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies. Complete inspections of buildings, units, office and amenity space as needed. Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol. Perform other maintenance duties as requested. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and building repair in a multifamily housing environment.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED required
Must have good communication skills
Must have basic knowledge of construction and repair processes
Must have a valid driver’s license, own transportation and tools
Ability to comprehend instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems and find solutions within company protocol
Must be physically capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Clean criminal background required
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities

Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary
Implement preventative maintenance measures
Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
Complete inspections of buildings, units, office and amenity space as needed
Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
Perform other maintenance duties as requested
Ability to work with and repair drywall and paint drywall surfaces
Perform basic maintenance tasks and general repairs including plumbing, roofing, appliance moving and repair
Maintain common areas and grounds of the property
Must be able to access and inspect property grounds by way of climbing ladders, stairwells, rooftops, confined areas, etc.
Perform troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance, renovating and preparing vacant units to move in condition, outdoor grounds maintenance and property appearance
Maintains building, performing routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities as needed.
