About The Position

Nestlé Purina is hiring Maintenance Technicians at their manufacturing facility in Zanesville, OH. This role is crucial for ensuring machine reliability and process improvements through preventative and predictive maintenance tasks. The position involves troubleshooting and repairing both mechanical and electrical equipment in a safe manner. The Zanesville facility is unique as it's the only Nestlé Purina location that produces Moist & Meaty® for the entire United States and Canada.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment OR a two-year technical degree completed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with 480 industrial voltages preferred.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of plant systems: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation.
• Install and program Variable Frequency Drives.
• Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain switch gears, control wiring and components, overcurrent and overload protection for plant motors including three phase systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCs.
• Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators.
• Repair gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, and packaging equipment.
• Maintain wastewater system, boiler operations, cooling towers, and general building needs.
• Utilize thermal imaging and ultrasonic analysis.
