About The Position

Hartung Glass is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for keeping all plant machinery and mechanical equipment in good working condition and repair. The technician will perform mechanical duties throughout the plant, including electrical, plumbing, and welding. Daily tasks involve maintaining a clean and organized work area, following safety procedures, performing preventive maintenance on glass fabrication machinery, diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment failures, dismantling machines, replacing parts, making adjustments for efficient operation, fabricating machine guards, installing/repairing conveyers, replacing motors and pumps, and maintaining fluid collection or distribution equipment or repairing electro-mechanical equipment.

Requirements

2+ years of mechanical and electrical experience
Familiarity with industrial and/or manufacturing machinery maintenance
Experience with electrical, welding, plumbing, mechanical repairs, etc.
Focused on safety
Great Attendance and Teamwork
Have a great can-do attitude
Pass pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen (excluding marijuana).
Able to lift between 50-75 lbs
Able to work overtime

Nice To Haves

5+ years of manufacturing machinery or industrial maintenance experience
CNC machine maintenance experience highly preferred
PLC drive, schematic a plus

Responsibilities

Maintaining a clean and organized work area, and following safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Performing preventive maintenance to glass fabrication machinery
Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment failures
Dismantling machines, replacing defective parts, making any necessary adjustments to ensure the machines are operating efficiently
Fabricating machine guards, installing or repairing conveyers, and replacing motors and pumps
Maintaining fluid collection or distribution equipment or repairing electro-mechanical equipment.
