About The Position

HILLS Properties is hiring a regular, full-time Maintenance Technician at Meridian on Shelbyville, a luxury apartment community in Louisville, Kentucky. The technician helps maintain all areas of the property and completes resident service requests, with work that may include HVAC, electrical, small-appliance, and plumbing repairs. The role includes some evening and weekend on-call hours. The position offers a supportive work environment and ongoing training. Requirements

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Thorough working knowledge of building maintenance.
Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
Knowledge and skill in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, user mover aids, cleaning fluids, and related items.

Nice To Haves

HVAC certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Inspect and maintain outdoor grounds, including the pool area, in a safe and attractive condition.
Inspect vacated units and complete the make-ready process, including assisting with painting, drywall, and carpet cleaning.
Perform work orders and repairs, including HVAC, electrical, small-appliance, and plumbing repairs.
Inspect and log building lights, smoke detectors, sprinkler systems, and furnace filters, replacing items as needed.
Demonstrate a professional and positive outlook with teammates, residents, vendors, and prospective residents, in keeping with HILLS' mission, vision, and values.
