About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues, conducting property inspections, and ensuring make-ready units meet quality standards. The position also includes leadership responsibilities such as providing direction and training to the maintenance team, assigning work orders, and fostering a positive work environment. Safety and compliance with regulations are paramount, as is managing vendor relationships and inventory. Additionally, the role requires excellent resident relations, responding promptly to service requests and maintaining high customer service standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in general repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Proficiency in conducting property inspections to identify safety hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Skill in ensuring make-ready units are completed to quality standards within required timelines.
  • Experience in providing direction, training, and support to maintenance team members.
  • Ability to assign daily work orders and monitor progress.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, local codes, and company safety policies.
  • Experience in maintaining accurate records of inspections, maintenance logs, and material inventories.
