About The Position

California Faucets is looking to bring on a talented 1st Shift Maintenance Technician. This role is based on site in our Huntington Beach, CA facility. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, full-time from 5:15 a.m.-2:00 p.m. The Maintenance Technician is critical within the company and has a direct impact on day-to-day production minimizing equipment downtime through preventive maintenance procedures. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining highly technical and automated equipment to include air compressors, water chillers, sandblasting cabinets and other equipment utilized in the manufacturing process. This position will perform troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical; gas, pneumatics, and cooling system as needed and will assist in continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts.

  • At least three (3) years of experience in performing similar work in a related field.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a fast-paced, operations type environment.
  • Regularly required to walk and use hands to finger.
  • Frequently required to stand extended periods of time; reach with hands and arms below and above shoulder; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist or crawl.
  • May be required to lift/carry 1-50 pounds when necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in Spanish highly desired.
  • Previous experience with vacuum equipment or cutting tools preferred.
  • Welding to include: MIG, TIG, and Arc.
  • Familiar with automated equipment, pumps, gearboxes, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and more.
  • 480V 3 phase troubleshooting and wiring. Including low voltage controls.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain highly technical and automated equipment including air compressors, water chillers, sandblasting cabinets, and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, gas, pneumatics, and cooling systems.
  • Assist in continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts.
  • Understand electrical schematics and documentation for proper troubleshooting.
  • Perform and update equipment PM logs, record inspections, and complete work in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to realistic project deadlines and update Manager of progress.
  • Inform Manager of any potential or existing problems.
  • Perform periodic maintenance and correct problems or report equipment in need of repair.
  • Understand and occasionally operate PVD coating equipment according to company specifications.
  • Use and understand basic computer entry and processing skills.
  • Adapt to changes in the work environment, organize and maintain project timeline demands, change approach or method to best fit the situation, and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Troubleshoot problems and determine action to be taken.
