About The Position

This role focuses primarily on fluid checks and basic vehicle maintenance. A Quick Lube Service Technician changes vehicle oil, checks transmission and other fluid levels, inspects belts and filters, and checks air levels and gauges. The position is with a Ford dealership that emphasizes service to customers, colleagues, and the wider community.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year in a service department.
• Knowledge of automobiles and ability to identify problems quickly.
• Effective analytical and communication skills.
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills; basic computer skills.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Comfort operating electronic diagnostic equipment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on one's feet for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, friendly attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Ford Certification.
• Previous experience at a Ford dealership.
• Technical degree.
• ASE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Test systems and components to ensure they are secure and working properly.
• Isolate systems or components that may have caused a problem.
• Drive vehicles for testing purposes.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently and accurately.
• Repair or replace worn parts before they cause vehicle breakdown or damage.
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform tasks.
• Change vehicle oil and check transmission and other fluid levels.
• Inspect belts and filters, and check air levels and gauges.
