About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician at Lake Cable, you will help keep the manufacturing team operating at full capacity by troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems and maintaining machinery and equipment. The role involves dismantling, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining equipment to keep it in optimal condition. The employee works in a plant environment with loud, continuous noise from operating machinery.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
2–5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or Electrical Technician maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical problems.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Knowledge of electrical wiring and components.
Experience with 120V, 240V, 480V three-phase systems, and low-voltage controls.
Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, diagrams, and blueprints, including those for German equipment.
Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements, including lockout/tagout, pinch points, electrical codes, HMIS/MSDS requirements, and waste disposal.
Must comply with all company rules and policies.

Nice To Haves

Forklift driving experience.

Responsibilities

Dismantle, rebuild, and reassemble machinery using hand and power tools.
Install wiring for electronic devices.
Install new and used equipment.
Wire new electrical panels by following electrical drawings and prints.
Install water and electrical plumbing.
Support required ISO documents and records associated with the department.
Observe and listen to operating machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments or repairs.
Maintain equipment preventive maintenance schedules.
Complete yearly RCRA Hazardous Waste and DOT initial training and annual review.
