About The Position

We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition of our production machines. The job holder will be required to perform a variety of tasks including machine maintenance, repairs, inspections etc.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a maintenance technician
Electrical background required
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have the basic knowledge in Canadian Electrical Code

Nice To Haves

Related experience in food processing equipment is an asset

Responsibilities

Responsible for repairs and maintenance for designated areas
Regular check & inspection on food processing equipment in accordance with Health & Safety Procedures
Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a regular basis; inspects belts; check fluid levels, replaces filter etc.
Procuring proper parts as instructed
Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required
Responsible for installing, dismantling, repairing, reassembling, and moving machinery in our food processing line
