About The Position
The Maintenance Technician completes basic repairs and maintains machinery in manufacturing and industrial settings to prevent downtime and ensure safety and efficiency. Key responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, and using diagnostic tools and technical manuals to ensure equipment functions correctly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects up to 70 lbs.
- Must be willing to work in hot and cold temperatures.
Nice To Haves
- Strong knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Proficiency with tool operation, troubleshooting to identify issues, and technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Install, replace, and repair machine parts and attachments.
- Diagnose and fix problems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Observe and test mechanical operation to detect problems and determine the cause of malfunctions.
- Service mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Adhere to all safety standards and regulations, which may include obtaining OSHA certifications.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
- Maintain logs of maintenance activities and repairs.
