About The Position

Cottonwood Residential is looking for an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician to join their team in Salt Lake City, based at Richmond Apartments in Millcreek, UT. The role involves performing various repairs and contributing to an innovative customer experience, including the use of Self-Guided Tours.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate with customers, process Company paperwork, and interpret safety and operating manuals and procedures.
• Ability to move, carry, reposition, or lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and ability to navigate elevation changes while maintaining balance.
• Frequent need to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, push/pull, and ability to navigate difficult terrain and access small areas.
• Ability to work standard community hours, including evenings and weekends.
• EPA certification Type II or Universal is required.
• Considerable experience troubleshooting HVAC.
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Nice To Haves

• CPO certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs that may include, but are not limited to, plumbing, electrical work, and general carpentry work related to household, building, and property grounds repairs.
• Troubleshoot HVAC systems.
• Provide after-hours emergency service as an on-call technician with support from the Service Manager.
• Contribute to improving the customer experience at the communities.
