About The Position

Schochet is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team at Essex Village & King’s Grant Apartments, a 200+ unit family apartment community in North Kingstown, RI. This role involves completing various work orders, apartment turnovers, and preventative maintenance. The position also includes some administrative duties, property inspections, and on-call responsibilities. Requirements

• Must be able to lift moderate weights of between 30-60 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand and/or walk all day.
• Occasional heavy lifting may be required.
• Duties may require strength and endurance in performing heavy manual labor.
• Must have experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair and of unit turnover procedures.
• Must live within 30 minutes of North Kingstown for rotating on-call.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation.
• Pre-employment background check & drug test required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in electrical/plumbing/ HVAC & appliance repair skills a plus.
• Prior residential property maintenance experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Completion of all types of work orders from residents.
• Completion of all resident apartment turn over tasks.
• On-call duties.
• Opening, tracking and closing work orders.
• Conducting property inspections and/or participating on an inspection team.
• Complete preventative maintenance activities.
• On-going inspection of tools and equipment for safety.
• Full knowledge of property’s emergency procedures.
