About The Position

Daffodil Storage is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to perform day-to-day janitorial and light maintenance duties at various locations in Pierce County. This role is crucial for maintaining property curb appeal and ensuring the operational safety and functionality of various systems. The ideal candidate is customer-oriented, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently across multiple locations. This position offers an independent work environment with opportunities for advancement in a growing industry.

Requirements

  • Firm understanding of Company Safety Policies & Procedures.
  • Actively use unit logs, PPE, and scheduled maintenance intervals.
  • High energy, outgoing, customer-oriented individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to successfully operate independently or as part of a team.
  • Willing to work multiple locations.
  • Willing and able to work any day of the week between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.
  • Willing to respond to immediate needs during off hours.
  • Able to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, stoop, bend, and crawl.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation to use throughout the work day.
  • Must be able to safely operate a moving truck.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct continuous safety checks on rental trucks, golf carts, and company-owned vehicles.
  • Perform end-user preventative maintenance of onsite HVAC equipment.
  • Communicate and escalate deficiencies in life safety systems (sprinkler, fire alarm, etc.).
  • Communicate and escalate deficiencies in storm systems including any onsite detention or swale ponds.
  • Act as the first point of contact to monitor, manage and communicate pest/rodent activity to relevant team members and external vendors.
  • Daily servicing and cleaning of elevators where applicable, including escalating external vendor repairs when needed.
  • Maintain interior and exterior property curb appeal through sweeping, cleaning, dusting, and wiping surfaces.
  • Coordinate customer latch repairs and cutting locks as needed.
  • Maintain access control systems in a safe and operational manner while escalating repairs.
  • Request assistance with maintenance issues that require more than one person or a higher level of expertise.
  • Establish a close working relationship with the leasing offices at assigned locations.
  • Work with vendors, contractors, and others who provide maintenance support.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Support and participate in best practices, continual improvement, and training programs.
  • Inform the Maintenance Manager regarding issues that need to be addressed and assist in resolving them.
