About The Position

We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team. This role is responsible for keeping all equipment in good working order through routine repairs and preventative maintenance checks. The technician will operate as an independent mechanic, analyzing problems, identifying solutions, and implementing them with available resources to a high degree of quality. Responsibilities include plumbing, electrical repairs, hardware maintenance, and upkeep of various equipment such as lamps and air conditioners. The role also involves cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment, monitoring systems, and having a working knowledge of fire sprinkler and emergency power systems. Additionally, the technician will observe and analyze energy usage, be available for emergencies to protect guests and associates, and assist the Chief Engineer with building and grounds maintenance. A key aspect of the role is ensuring a safe environment for guests and staff by meeting safety standards, providing professional and courteous service, and being a team player who can assist in other departments when needed. The technician must be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and Job Safety Analysis guides.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Keep all equipment in good working order with routine repairs and preventative maintenance checks.
  • Analyze problems, identify courses of action, and implement solutions with available resources and to a high degree of quality.
  • Perform repairs on toilets, drains, hardware, plumbing, and electrical equipment including lamps and air conditioners.
  • Clean, lubricate, protect, and maintain all tools and equipment.
  • Monitor systems to be fully informed of their operation and to handle emergencies.
  • Have a working knowledge of fire sprinkler and emergency power systems.
  • Observe and analyze energy and utilities usage in the hotel and on the grounds.
  • Be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates, and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency.
