About The Position

Storage Solutions is seeking a Resident Maintenance Technician to support automated material handling equipment at our customer site in Jefferson City, Missouri. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, completing repairs, and helping ensure the reliable operation of conveyors, AGVs, robotic systems, and related automation equipment. The successful candidate will work onsite at the customer facility and serve as the primary maintenance resource supporting day-to-day equipment performance. While prior automation experience is beneficial, Storage Solutions will provide training on customer-specific systems and equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience maintaining industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or automated equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with conveyor systems, AGVs, robotics, or automated material handling equipment
  • Familiarity with industrial controls, sensors, and instrumentation
  • Basic understanding of PLC-controlled equipment
  • Experience working in distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or automated environments
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb as needed
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and materials up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to safely perform maintenance activities in an industrial environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair activities on automated material handling equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic system issues
  • Support conveyors, AGVs, robotics, and other automated equipment
  • Diagnose equipment failures and assist with root cause analysis
  • Complete scheduled inspections and maintenance tasks
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore systems to operational status
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance in maintenance logs and systems
  • Collaborate with Storage Solutions personnel and customer contacts to resolve technical issues
  • Maintain compliance with all customer and company safety requirements
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to increase equipment reliability.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Participate in occasional after-hours support for emergency situations as needed
